Lots still to do on the house. but it is coming. It will be great to have the shop done so I can finish cleaning out the garage and put nothing in it but cars. The lawn will have to wait until spring. Winter came too fast.
We are loving the new house, the view and the coyotes as they sing us to sleep every night. (at least I like the coyotes, reminds me of living on the farm). Uncle Dave andAunt Jackie visited us this last weekend and they felt like we lived in the wilderness. I love the owls, deer, and elk that pass through the back of the property.
More later

We Are Getting Closer!!!!

I know it has been a long time since I last posted, but it seems between work and working at the house every night till dark has taken its toll. Here are just a few of the picts. from the last month or so.

Drywall every where. I don't know how those guys carry those big long sheets.

The drywall mud was ever where

Texture and paint is done. Mom made sure that the texture was exactly what she wanted. Jayson and I spent a weekend going through 55 gallons of primer and 45 gallons of paint. It is done. Note the gas fireplace in the corner.

The rock man was here. This is a dry stack.

Cabinets in the "service room"

Cabinets in our bath room. Tub is not in yet. We have to wait for the tile guy.

All the long siding is on and he is working on the shingles in the entrance.

Note the "dental" work (bumps) and the shingles.

Back of the house facing the view.

As soon as the tile guy gets the floors done I can set the toilets. I can then get rid of the porta-potty. We do have water, even hot water, lights, and heat. The kitchen cabinets are taking longer than I wanted. I can't put the floor down until they are in. We have lots to do with shelving and all the trim work around the windows. The real outside doors will be in this week and the inside doors will be hung as soon as all the flooring is done.
As you can see I have not been able to do anything outside. It has been a very wet spring. I don't know when the rain will end.
Enjoy the picts. I have to have the house ready for guests in August.
