Welcome to the Pacific Northwest?

Who says that it never snows in the Pacific Northwest. We have been in a deep freeze for over a week and it hasn't let up yet. We have had highs of 28 and lows of 11. Up by Seattle yesterday morning it hit -4 degrees. We lost the last two days of school and church was cancelled for today Right now it is snowing again, and they say we should get another 2-4 inches. They say the storm should move east sometime tomorrow. Portland airport was closed yesterday but is open today I hope to get all the kids home for Christmas. A few pictures to show you what is very unusual for us at 500 feet above sea level.

This is the road in front of the house Looks like a winter wonderland.

The benches and picnic table don't look like they are ready for a BBQ.

My rock wall in the front yard is almost gone.

The flowers aren't used to this kind of weight.

The snow is higher than the front deck.

Have a great day. Dad and Mom B
